Kidblog.org

Hello everybody! I came across this tool while reading the introductions of the book "Storyline 3" which is the book the sixth graders I will be teaching tomorrow are using. It really called my attention since we've just created our reflective blogs and I'm considering the advantages of using blogs in the classrooms.
What I found great about this tool is how secure it is, a feature which is key especially when thinking about the primary classroom.
I share with you the link, hope you find it useful: http://kidblog.org/home.php

I've already created a class and the students' blogs, maybe in the non-too-distant future I start using it.
You may have a look at it. http://kidblog.org/Inicial2do/
Of course, since you are not part of the class, you will not have access to the posts. But it can give you an idea of how it works! Have a nice week!

  1. Is this the one you don't need a user+password for every student but only one for the teacher?

  2. In fact, each participant needs an user name and a password. It's the teacher the one who creates all accounts and have the chance to "approve" post before they are published. When the pupils log in, they have access to their blog and also to the Class' blog (which contains a list of links to their classmates' blogs)
